In a period of two decades Idris Metso and his friends have been in the forefront of developing new fairing techniques and guaranteed paint quality. Our aim, from the very first meeting, is to give confidence and a guarantee to the yard, owner represetative’s and our partners for the quality of the finish. On every project we have an on site full-time project management system allowing us to provide excellent quality control.
TYP knows several paint systems and can be actively involved in projects and processes from the very beginning, contributing to the specification writing and planning of paint projects. For us being respectful to schedules and to other departments working onboard is a priority. We use the most innovative application, coupled with tools and equipment ensuring the highest quality onboard.
Traditional long-boarding while sanding is one of the most important features of our fairing and painting process. Our dedicated staff follow strict adherence to the paint manufacturer’s specifications to maintain quality control and using the necessary tools and electronic equipment measurements are recorded on daily basis to ensure the finish is exceptionally high. We have a number of fairing and painting teams with highly-skilled leaders who are experienced on the most famous Europe-built projects. Our finishing level on each project is time-effective and quality assured.
TEAMS
Our painters are proud to be part of the “Thraki team” and are motivated to focus on working on high volume vessels both in new building and refit. Our philosophy is to be selective in staff recruitment and having over 130 painters gives us flexibility with our manpower allowing us to work on large vessels and a number of projects at the same time.
